WE LIKE TO MOVE IT, MOVE IT!
At Longleaze we provide a range of different sports and fitness opportunities both during the academic day and as part of after school clubs and events.
In PE lessons our children participate in different sporting skills and activities related to their class topic and as part of the Real PE scheme. (For more details please see PE under the curriculum section) This is taught by their teacher and a sports Coach. KS2 children also participate in swimming and water safety skill sessions.
Our children also have the opportunity to mix and compete in activities and events in a fun and relaxed manner with other children of their age from nearby schools as part of the school’s sports cluster group which we belong to.
The following events are being held as part of the Sports Cluster group. If you would like your child to participate in one of these events please let the school office or Mrs Connolly know.

Our children also have the opportunity to participate in one of the many sporting afterschool clubs which we offer. The clubs reflect the strong and important links which we have with local community clubs such as Wootton Bassett Tennis club as well as building on the staffs enthusiasm and expertise of their own sporting interests. Some of these clubs will change as the year progresses.
This term children can participate in the following:
Wednesday All Years Football (Payable each term)
Years 5 and 6 Netball (Free)
Thursday All Years Tennis (Payable each term)
Well done to the Netball team who played their first match. Sadly they lost 8-2 but Mrs Davis and Mrs Watkins said they played their hearts out and showed great teamwork. Well done everyone !
We also like to move it, Move it outside of school. Well done to the children who have gained these sporting achievements.
